Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Everscribe Magazine! We are dedicated to publishing high-quality, original content from talented writers. Please review the following guidelines before submitting your piece:
Registration
To submit literary works to Everscribe Magazine, you'll need to register first. This is a one-time requirement for all new members. Once registered, you'll receive a unique Scribe ID, which will enable you to submit your work. If you haven't registered yet, please fill out the form on our website: everscribemag.com/register
Eligible Content
We accept submissions of original short stories, poems, essays, articles, and other literary works.
Your submission must be your own original creation and not previously published elsewhere. We only accept original, unpublished literary works for consideration.
We do not accept submissions of plagiarized, copied, or AI-generated content. Refer to our Plagiarism & Intellectual Property policy in our Terms of Use for more details.
Your work should align with our Content Standards and Moderation guidelines.
Content Standards and Moderation
Everscribe Magazine maintains firm content guidelines to ensure our publication remains accessible and appropriate for a diverse global readership. All submissions must adhere to the following standards:
All works must be in English. Please proofread for spelling and grammar. If you use intentional variations, let us know during submission.
Language should be PG-13 or below. We do not allow excessive profanity, vulgarity, or explicit sexual content.
Depictions of violence, if present, should be restrained within reason and justified within the context of your narrative.
We aim to be an inclusive publication, so we encourage submissions that explore a variety of cultural backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.
Works must not contain hate speech, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
We do not accept activist articles or pieces that promote specific agendas.
We do not accept submissions of plagiarized, copied, or AI-generated content.
Submissions should not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Length and Formatting
Prose (Stories, Essays, Articles, etc): Maximum length is 2,000 words; there is no minimum length.
Poems: Maximum length is 80 lines; there is no minimum length.
File Format: Submissions should be in Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Plain Text (.txt).
Font and Layout: Use 12-point Times New Roman or a similar standard font.
Spacing: Double-space your text, except for poetry, which should be single-spaced.
Title and Author Name: Include a bolded title at the top of the first page, include your name in italics.
Author Bio: If you'd like, you may include a third-person author bio (75 words or less), also in italics. File Naming: Your file name should be your work’s title followed by your name in parentheses (e.g., "The Journey (Author Name).pdf").
Submission Process
Single Submission: You can submit only one literary work at a time using the form on our website.
Multiple Submissions: You can return to our submission form as often as needed, but submit one literary work at a time. Each author may submit a maximum of three pieces per issue. Any additional works will be queued for the next monthly issue.

After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email.
Look forward to receiving a response from our editorial team after your submission. We aim to provide a response as soon as possible, typically within 48-72 hours after submission.
If your submission does not fully meet our guidelines, we will provide feedback and give you the opportunity to revise and resubmit your work for further consideration, if applicable.

Copyright & Licensing
Everscribe Magazine acquires first digital publication rights for all accepted submissions. This means you retain full copyright ownership of your work, but grant us the exclusive right to publish your piece for the first time in our digital magazine. Your work cannot be published anywhere else previously, digital or printed.
After publication, the copyright reverts back to you, the author. You are then free to republish the work elsewhere but must credit Everscribe Magazine as the original digital publisher.
We do not claim any ownership over the intellectual property within your submissions. All creative content remains yours.
Featuring Work
In each issue, our editorial team selects four exceptional pieces to feature prominently on our website. We evaluate submissions based on their own merit, focusing on several key criteria:
Originality: We look for unique perspectives and innovative ideas that stand out from the rest.
Writing Skill: The quality of writing is crucial. We assess clarity, coherence, and the overall craftsmanship of the piece.
Overall Impact: We consider how the submission resonates emotionally and intellectually with readers.
If your piece is chosen, you’ll have the exclusive opportunity to showcase it as a standalone feature in our Featured section on the website, placing your talent in the spotlight.
