Terms of Use
Welcome to Everscribe Magazine, a digital literary publication dedicated to showcasing exceptional writing from authors of all backgrounds and ages. By registering with and submitting your work to Everscribe, you agree to the following terms of use:
1. Copyright & Licensing
Everscribe Magazine acquires first digital publication rights for all accepted submissions. This means you retain full copyright ownership of your work, but grant us the exclusive right to publish your piece for the first time in our digital magazine. Your work cannot be published anywhere else previously, digital or printed.
After publication, the copyright reverts back to you, the author. You are then free to republish the work elsewhere but must credit Everscribe Magazine as the original digital publisher.
We do not claim any ownership over the intellectual property within your submissions. All creative content remains yours.
2. Scribe ID & Author Names
When registering with Everscribe Magazine, you must provide a valid email address to receive a unique 6-digit Scribe ID number. This Scribe ID is essential for verifying your identity during the submission process, ensuring that you maintain control over your work, regardless of the name you choose to associate with it.
Your Scribe ID and contact information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be publicly linked to your published pieces. You can choose the email address Everscribe uses to contact you anytime without needing to change your registration or contact support.
You have the freedom to choose your pen name, provided it adheres to Everscribe's Content Standards and Moderation guidelines. You can opt to maintain a consistent pen name to help build your brand, or you may choose to be flexible and explore different names for your submissions. Additionally, you have the option to use your real name or a pen name.
Everscribe and our editorial team will identify you solely through your Scribe ID and registered email address, ensuring your privacy while allowing for creative expression.
3. Content Standards & Moderation
Everscribe Magazine maintains firm content guidelines to ensure our publication remains accessible and appropriate for a diverse global readership. All submissions must adhere to the following standards:
All works must be written in English. Please proofread for spelling and grammar errors. If you intentionally include spelling or grammar variations for dialect or other literary reasons, please inform us during the submission process.
Language should be PG-13 or below. We do not allow excessive profanity, vulgarity, or explicit sexual content.
Depictions of violence, if present, should be restrained within reason and justified within the context of your narrative.
We aim to be an inclusive publication, so we encourage submissions that explore a variety of cultural backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.
Works must not contain hate speech, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
We do not accept activist articles or pieces that promote specific agendas.
Works should not violate the privacy of others.
Submissions should not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Everscribe reserves the right to reject or remove any content that violates these guidelines. Our editorial team will review all accepted works prior to publication and may request revisions if needed.
In the event that a published piece is found to be in violation of our standards after the fact, we will work with the author to address the issue. Depending on the severity, this may result in the permanent removal of the work from our platform.
4. Plagiarism & Intellectual Property
Everscribe Magazine takes plagiarism and the protection of intellectual property rights very seriously. By submitting your work to be published with us, you affirm and warrant that the work is entirely your own original creation and does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
You agree not to submit any work that you did not personally create, or that contains any plagiarized, copied, unattributed, or AI-generated content. Submitting plagiarized work or AI-generated literary content is strictly prohibited.

6. Withdrawal of Published Works
You can request the removal of your published work from Everscribe at any time. To do this, please verify your identity using your Scribe ID and the email address you registered with. Once verified, we will promptly remove your piece from our website and digital magazine.
Please note that if readers or members have previously downloaded PDF versions of our issues, we cannot control the distribution of those older files. Your work may still be accessible through those downloaded copies even after we've removed it from our active publication.
